Library is a great place to start for holiday gift ideas It's almost that time of year again. Yes, that time of year that so often gets mentioned far too early... that particular holiday. So I'm going to resist and not mention it at all. But I'm sure you know the one I mean. Mentioning that time of the year is really important though, if you are the kind of person who likes to make... well you know... gifts... for giving on that particular holiday (the one I won't mention). Handmade gifts can be a great way to save money, give something from the heart, and show someone that you really care. But making gifts can be tricky. You need ideas or instructions or patterns, etc. And ideas or instructions or patterns, etc. can be pricy... if you have to buy them, which of course you don't if you come to the Halton Hills Public Library to borrow them. And just to give you an idea... you can find ideas, instructions and patterns for: knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing, scrapbooking, beading, weaving, gluing, basket-making, woodworking, cookiebaking, bookbinding, pet caring, dinnerfixing, pottery-throwing, painting (artistic and house), photographing, and all sorts of other kinds of gift-making. Not only will our helpful staff put you in touch with ideas, instructions and patterns, but we can also help you get started with the doing.
