In Focus, December, 2010 8 POW Acton Santa Claus Parade Georgetown Santa Claus Parade BAM The streets were lined with smiling faces on November 20 when Santa Claus came to town for Acton's annual Santa Claus Parade. Organized by the Acton Firefighters Association, this year's event was crawling with superheroes of all shapes and sizes as local schools, businesses and organizations decorated their floats according to the parade's "Comic Book Christmas" theme. After spending the afternoon in Acton, Santa made his way to Georgetown on November 20 for the 80th annual Georgetown Santa Claus Night Parade. Hundreds of families lined the parade route to watch the brightly-lit floats and trucks make their way through town. This year's parade, which was organized by the Georgetown Lion's Club, had a "Star Light, Star Bright" theme and the exciting evening was capped off with a visit from Kris Kingle himself.
