The company plans to operate a shale quarry on a 35-hectare parcel of land in northwest Brampton of which approximately nine hectares would be excavated on the site just off Old Pinecrest Rd., east of Winston Churchill Blvd., north of Hwy. 7. Shale is used to produce clay bricks. Brampton Brick has applied for a licence for the quarry. The public has until Dec. 20 to file an objection.
