Watch where you park at the Seniors Centre By FLORENCE RIEHL Georgetown Seniors Centre The Active Living classes are all in full swing for the winter season. This is an opportunity to release some of the added padding we gained over the holidays. Tuesday Sandwich days have resumed. Why not join the members who stop by for lunch? The cost per sandwich is $2.50. Monday, February 14 is the date for our Valentine Tea. Come out and beat the February blahs with a few games, possibly a skit from the Drama Club and surprise refreshments. This all for the lowly sum of $3. Tickets are now available at Reception Desk. Beginning Thursday, February 1, lunch of soup, crackers, tea/coffee for the price of $2.50 will be available starting at 11 a.m. At that time you will be able to purchase frozen meals from Links2care to take home with you that day. At times parking seems to be at a premium at our Centre. Just a few reminders that may help the situation. Firstly, you are able to park in any spot around the entire building. Keep in mind that there are two side entrances. Secondly, there are two handicapped spots available at the front entrance to the Centre. If you use one of them, you will need to display your "Handicapped Sign". The space between the handicapped spots now has a sign indication it is NOT a parking spot for anyone. Beginning immediately the lot will be patrolled by the Bylaw Parking Officer to see that we are adhering to the rules. If we all make a conscious effort we can ease the parking situation somewhat. March 1 is the date of our AGM at which time we will vote to replace two Board of Directors members. If you would like to serve, please make a Board member aware of your interest. I have received a couple more seats for the trip to Kitchener to see Second City the Stephen Harper musical. Call 905873-1210. Maybe I'll see you at the Centre for lunch.
