Library to host Technology Made Simple When I say technology, what do you think of? Likely if I was asking this question 10 years ago, the first thing that would spring to your mind would be computers. These days, it is not so straight forward. Technology can mean all sorts of things: computers, cameras, smart phones, e-readers, iPods, laptops, netbooks, Facebook, Twitter, and so very, very much more. And while many of us have watched the kids take to all of this like ducklings to water, for those of us who have not been brought up in a personal-technology world it can be a bit trickier. Even the sheer volume of gadgets out there can leave you feeling a little lost. I am pleased to announce when it comes to understanding technology, the Halton Hills Public Library is coming to your rescue. This month we are launching a series of programs called Technology Made Simple. Each month we will be exploring a topic: perhaps a gadget like iPads, or an application like Skype. We will also have open practice sessions where you can visit to experiment with the topic of the month or bring in any technology-related question for our technology tutors to tackle. The presentation will be held on Friday, Feb. 11 at the Georgetown Branch. We will have a hands-on question/answer and practice session on Friday, Feb. 18 at the Georgetown Branch and Friday, Feb. 25 at the new Acton Branch.
