Musicians wanted for second Songs for Supper CD February 19 is the deadline set for local musicians to submit original songs for inclusion on the second Songs for Supper album, a CD project that is a fundraiser for Acton's FoodShare. The first Songs for Supper album sold well over 500 copies, and featured an eclectic mix of music genres-- everything from folk, to hip-hop to rock. Organizers hope the judges and fans will be equally impressed with a fresh mix of local talent. "It makes us feel good of course obviously that people are interested in supporting the FoodShare in any way they can," said Arlene Humphreys, chair of the FoodShare board of directors. "It certainly was heartwarming that so many musicians gave of their time and have done since, with the two concerts we've had (to promote the first CD)." Original songs, in mp3 format, are being accepted until February 19 at eric.niblock@ gmail.com. The submitted songs will be judged, with the winners featured on the new CD that has an April 20, projected launch date at a live release party/show at Roxy Music on Mill Street.
