Inside, mounted high above the main doors, is a little piece of history from the previous church-- a sculpture of Jesus Christ done by a local artist back in 1965 that originally hung over the altar in the Maple Ave. church. Two large windows behind the altar will also be done in stained glass, hopefully by Easter, portraying the first Pentecost of the Holy Spirit. "All stained glass has been donated by parishioners," said Wynen. He added parishioners also donated the Stations of the Cross, which line the back wall of the church. The Catholic Women's League and students from all the Catholic schools in town donated a sculpture of "The Intimate Holy Family" depicting Mary, Joseph and Jesus. The church was designed by Walter Fedy Partnership in Kitchener, with Roger Farwell as the lead architect. Melloul Blamey was the builder. Wynen is very pleased with the design and the construction.
