Local citizens receive Volunteer Service Awards Numerous Halton Hills residents are the recipients of the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration's 2011 Ontario Volunteer Service Award this week. The Ontario Volunteer Service Awards honour the thousands of people who generously contribute their time as volunteers across Ontario. These awards are an important way to recognize volunteers who have provided service over many years. Each recipient is awarded a specific pin and personal certificate that represents their years of service.
