CAShh's dedicated volunteers drive thousands of kilometres each month transporting local cancer patients to hospitals in Toronto, Hamilton, Mississauga and Brampton for treatment and appointments. In addition to transportation, CAShh also provides emotional support groups, dietician counselling, babysitting, and loan materials like canes, walkers, wigs and hospital beds. CAShh is currently in the middle of its big spring fundraising campaign. During the month of April, volunteers will be going door-to-door collecting donations. More than 80 per cent of all donated funds go to patient programs, while the balance is used for educational awareness, fundraising, administration and overhead expenses.
