In addition to the exciting events that we have planned in Glen Williams and the Willow Park Ecology Centre in Norval on Father's Day, we have a jam packed line-up of events on June 17th & 18th in Downtown Georgetown, and at Prospect Park in Acton! Join us on Friday night in Downtown Georgetown as the Big DADDY Festival kicks off with the Festival on Main. In addition to a sidewalk sale brought to you by the local merchants, there will be street vendors and buskers. Among the amazing array of free activities we'll have Unicyclists, Fire Walkers and non-stop entertainment on the B2C/Steam Whistle Chill Zone Stage! The high octane bands include local acts Catching Wednesday and The Compound. Our headliner for the evening is Jordan John and the Blues Angels who are opening later this summer for both Aretha Franklin and Elton John ... but hey Big DADDY Festival goers, they are coming to Georgetown first! On Saturday the Big DADDY fun continues at the Festival on Main from 8:00 am ­ 5:00 pm, with the Farmers Market and dozens of FREE activities for the whole family including: face painting, clowns, mimes, jugglers, magicians, bouncy castle, rock wall, and children's art exhibit. For those who want to kick back and relax, the B2CSteam Whistle Chill Zone will be featuring cold beer, cool tunes and pulled pork sandwiches! Relax at the Chill Zone, or one of the many restaurants in Downtown Georgetown, but don't miss the non-stop entertainment at both the Street Stage and the B2C/Steam Whistle Chill Zone Stage! In Acton, The Big DADDY Festival features the grand finale of Acton's `Random Acts of Kindness Week' which culminates at 4:00 pm on Saturday June 18th with an old fashioned fun filled family picnic at Prospect Park! Bring your picnic, lawn chairs and blankets and join the fun with the Johnson Monster Mural Painting, Town of Halton Hills `Mighty Machines', food vendors, tons of family games, rock climbing wall, face painting and Special Interest and Kindness Tents! For the budding stars out there, don't miss the preliminaries of the Acton Idol Contest! There are two age categories: 14 and under, and 15 and up.
