Register now for Bill Laidlaw golf tourney On Thursday, July 14 Norval United Church will be hosting the 8th Annual Bill Laidlaw Memorial Golf Tournament to raise funds for the youth in the church and in the community. Bill Laidlaw was a leader in the Halton Hills community who had a passion for helping others. The Golf Tournament tees off at Eagle Ridge Golf Club, starting with lunch at 11:30 a.m. sponsored by Maple Lodge Farms. Participants enjoy 18 holes of golf with a cart, prizes, lunch and dinner for $140. There is also a silent auction with some amazing items to bid on including Dinner in the Country for 10 and a Muskoka Gold Weekend. Last year the tournament presented the local Halton Hills Canadian Tire Jumpstart Chapter with a cheque for $1,000. Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a community-based charitable program that helps kids in financial need participate in organized sports and recreation.
