She welcomed an array of people from around the world into her heart and her memory will live on in all those who called her a friend. Her wonderful stories of early life on Scarborough Road, of war bride years in Halifax, the farm in Acton, rewarding work at Silverthorn Collegiate, the Island in the Severn, her dream home in Brentwood Bay, singing with Sweet Adelines, volunteering for various organizations, and her extensive travels were the expression of a life embraced with a fullness and generosity of spirit.
