It is that time of year when the (GLTYC) Youth Company opens its doors to new members as s well as welcoming back old ones. es. GLTYC meet almost every Saturday throughout t the school year. The age range is 10-18. Membership is $20 with $5 per any additional onal fall workshop, one wishes es to attend. These are held d from 1-3 p.m. on various us Saturdays. Throughout the fall, , the workshops are aimed mostly at the actor's craft, i.e. voice, characterization, improv, along with ith directing, and stage management. nagement. In the spring the workshops ops are free and are about building ng the spring production, i.e. costume ostume design and construction, set building, painting, and lighting. The Youth Company has two performance opportunities each season. On September 17th there will be auditions for the Y1A - Youth One Acts, which will be performed November 24-26. For auditions one needs to phone the studio and sign up for a specific time. For the spring performance-- Pride and Prejudice-- j auditions are held in December or January and the show is May 3-12, 2012. Rehearsals are held on weeknights as well as the regular Saturdays. GLT is a completely volunteer community theatre orgacomm nization. Cat Heaven and Kay d'Entremont head up a team d'Entrem of supportive volunteers sup who wh love doing theatre and enjoy working a with young people. They welcome anyone who shares those interests.
