Georgetown Children's Chorus to represent Ontario in Ottawa What a season the Georgetown Children's Chorus has planned! The highlight will be performing in Ottawa for four days during the 2012 Canada Day celebrations. The choir, conducted by Dale Wood for the past 20 years, was chosen to represent Ontario in a choir featuring singers from across Canada. Choir members, nine and up. are eligible to participate and leaders expect that 50 kids ages 9 to 18 will participate. They will be giving a concert at the Parliament buildings on June 29 and 30 and will sing in three performances on July 1st at the National Arts Centre. In between concerts, choir members will attend Canada Day festivities on Parliament hill and tour national sites. "The invitation is perfect for this year," says choir President, Sharon English, "since our Spring concert theme is O Canada, a compilation of songs from across Canada."
