Hundreds of Acton residents were up bright and early on September 18 to take part in the annual Terry Fox Run. Groups and individual participants headed to Acton High School to walk, run and bike around the track to raise money for cancer research. This year's run also included a pair of special haircuts. Local councillor Clark Somerville shaved off his head of bright pink hair to raise money for the run. He was joined by Julie Iantorno, who cut off a long ponytail of hair. Between the two of them, they raised $4,545. This year's Terry Fox Run in Acton raised $30,000. Over the last 31 years, Halton Hills has raised more than $1 million. Bravo!
