The buffet dinner was excellent with lots of choices. Pauline Barlow was celebrating her 80th birthday with her daughter Pat and Pauline's brother John. She was pleasantly surprised to receive a birthday cake and see her name up on the large screen. The next visit to Mohawk will be on Friday, Nov. 4 to see Sinners, a comedy about a local furniture store owner and the local minister's wife and the goingson in the parish. Before the play we will enjoy the festive buffet, which includes turkey, cannelloni and ham. There will even be time for the people who enjoy playing the slots to check out a few machines. I know it will be another great evening. On Tuesday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. the hiking group will be enjoying a one-hour hike with members of Community Living North Halton. They plan to hike at Hungry Hollow from the Dawson Crescent entry point. They will carpool from the Acton Arena. The rain date is Thursday, Oct. 20.
