Scavenger hunt contest on CVC's new website To improve functionality and access to information, Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) has redesigned its website www. creditvalleyca.ca. To celebrate the official launch of the new website, CVC is inviting residents to take part in an online scavenger hunt to win a one-year family pass with unlimited access to 10 unique and bio-diverse conservation areas. The contest will be open until midnight on November 26. Throughout 2011, CVC made significant upgrades to www. creditvalleyca.ca. Because information about conservation areas consistently ranks as a top traffic driver for the website, improvements were made in this section, including: interactive maps; photo galleries; search ability; and ability to filter conservation area information by activity. Information about flood warnings, public safety bulletins and community events were enhanced through website layout, usability, accessibility and aesthetics. Visitors to the site can continue to learn about CVC programs and services; news and events; and job opportunities. The new website includes a comprehensive reference library and better access to CVC's Facebook and Twitter. To take part in the scavenger hunt, a series of multiple choice questions will lead contestants through various sections of the site to search for clues. The grand prize winner will be chosen at random from correct entries, with second and third prizes awarded as well. 17 Independent & Free Press, Thursday, November 17, 2011 3 ANNIVERSARY SALE!!
