The Acton Santa Claus Parade, sponsored by the Acton Firefighters Association, will be held at 1 p.m. The theme this year is "Christmas at the Circus." The Acton parade will feature five bands this year--Primetime Brass, Ghost Riders, Acton Citizens' Band, Branch 197 Typhoon Squadron Band and M.M. Robinson Drub Corps. There will be approximately 30 floats in the parade said Diane Spielvogel, who organizes the parade with her husband Bill. The parade route will get underway from Acton Blvd. then head to Queen St., turn onto Young St. then follow Mill St. to Main St., turn left onto Knox Ave. and end at Prospect Park. See SANTA, pg. 8 Neighbours share tales of liver donations By LISA TALLYN Staff Writer Two Georgetown women recently received the ultimate gift from their sisters-- the gift of life. Francie Egerton and Chris O'Neill both received liver donations from their sisters, Mary Egerton and Jackie Poirier, two longtime neighbours, who had no idea they were each going to be liver donors for their sisters until they saw each other on the street one day and caught up on what was new in their lives. They couldn't believe it. "It was nice of her (Mary) to go first," joked Jackie. The two women were able to support each other after the surgeries and found it helpful to be able to talk to someone who had shared the same experience. "We were on the phone all the time," said Mary, adding they traded stories about how they were both feeling.
