CHECK OUT WHAT YOUR SUPPORT CAN DO: * Less than $20 a week or $1,000 a year will provide two weeks of support, for 3 homeless families living in transitional housing apartments in Halton Hills. * $10 a week or $520 a year will help a family in crisis or help an abused woman and her children. * $5 a week or $260 a year will pay for 2 children with developmental disabilities to attend a Saturday program for 6 weeks. * $3 a week or $156 a year will sponsor 3 underprivileged teens to attend 4 special group recreational activities. * $1 a week or $52 a year will provide 2 hours of home care to a senior citizen or person with a disability. United Way is not about someone else. It is about you and the people you care about. Maybe it's your aging parents, or maybe a friend.
