Bonnette announced at the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce Mayor's Luncheon Thursday that the minister said he would reconsider the proposed 4-3 highway. The mayor had met with Chiarelli in Toronto last Tuesday. The GTA West Corridor Study has recommended two four-lane highways for Halton Hills: 4-2 extending from Brampton, down the Tenth Line to the Hwys. 401/407 interchange at Winston Churchill Blvd., and 4-3 extending from Tenth Line, south of 10 Sideroad, to Tremaine Rd. in Milton. The Study's objective is to build transportation networks to move people quicker through the congested GTA/Golden Horseshoe Area. "We understand what the Province is trying to do, and we support the 4-2 (proposed) highway, which is going north and south and will also give us a Norval bypass," said Bonnette.
