20 Independent & Free Press,Thursday, December 15, 2011 Art groups holding seasonal exhibits The local art group Innerscapes concludes its annual 100 Bucks in the Country show on December 22. The show is being held at Pictures & Presents, at 134 Main St. S. in Georgetown, and is open Tuesday through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A wide variety of smaller pieces for the holiday season are on display. New pieces have just arrived. The artists Herta Hajek, George Perdue, Eileen Simpson and Jan Zimmerman will be available on request. **** Artisans' Attic's continues its show Magical Masterpieces-- "spellbinding" new works of art conjured up for the Christmas season at its 73 Main St. S. location. Artisans' Attic is an artisans' co-operative that hosts the work of more than 30 artists including original paintings and limited edition prints, functional and decorative pottery, jewellery, weaving, basketry, photography, stained and blown glass, papier mache, fibre arts, Atlantis Athletics has partnered with Georgetown Hospital Foundation to help raise money for this worthy cause. In December, Atlantis Athletics will be offering 10 guest visits to the club for $10. All proceeds from this special, month-long event will go to benefit Georgetown Hospital Foundation. The 10 visits for $10 gift certifisoapstone and metal sculpture and so much more. Membership artists can be seen working at their craft during store hours: Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. **** A selection of paintings, pottery, stone carvings, wood, jewelry, hand blown glass and many finely crafted gift items are on view at the Big Show, Small Works exhibit at the Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre, running until Christmas. Resident Mill artists and talented local artisans are featured in the Big Show, Small Works, including: watercolours, photographs oils, acrylics and mixed media, coloured pencil drawings, fine pottery, sculptures carved in stone, wood pieces, hand blow glass, jewelry, one of a kind women's hats, purses and scarves, hand crafted walking sticks, and bagel boards, jewelry boxes. The Gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. cates may be purchased at the club by members for friends or family and by non-members for themselves and their guests.
