They're looking for answers and trying to get her back. They have launched a Facebook page "Return Eleanor Wallace to GDHS" and as of this afternoon (Wednesday) there were 349 members. The students say the loss of Wallace "the heart and soul of the music program" has left the fate of tonight's (Thursday's) school Christmas concert up in the air-- but students have stepped forward to oversee it and the concert will go ahead as planned. But the students are devastated to lose Wallace. "On behalf of the whole music program that means a lot to us-- a program that's been top-notch-- has been reduced to no program at all," said Grade 12 student Matt Driedger. "She was empathetic, kind, caring and compassionate," said student Thomas Dobrovich. Dobrovich said they have tried to get answers about what happened to Wallace from school administration, but struck out. Principal Nick Varrichio said Wednesday he would not comment on why Wallace left the school, "employee and employer confidentiality and privacy is something we need to respect."
