5 The IFP * Halton Hills * HEALTH CARE - Thursday, January 12, 2012 Ex-Argo visits `Jiggle Gym' Former Toronto Argonaut Paul Swaby visited Georgetown's own "Jiggle Gym" recently to pass on some training tips at the new T-Zone Vibration location at the Knolcrest Plaza on Guelph St. The Whole Body Vibration workout involves a machine that looks like a weigh scale but creates movement that works the muscles up to 30 times per second. Swaby uses the analogy that the human body is not unlike the alignment in an automobile and the Vibration Machine forces the muscles to resist the movements, so the user remains upright and balanced. He also claims that 10 minutes of WBV is equal to an hour-long regular gym workout and it feels more like a massage. Dumbbells can be incorporated into the exercise as well to build and preserve muscle through weight resistance.
