Although he seems to be been in hiding this year, Old Man Winter made a quick appearance last month just in time for the first annual Acton Winter Carnival at Prospect Park. A big snowfall the day before, plus flurries the day of, transformed the park into a perfect winter wonderland. Organized by the Acton BIA, the carnival drew big crowds to the park where they participated in fun outdoor activities like horse-drawn wagon rides, snow golf, snow horseshoes, outdoor curling, ice sculpting, face painting, obstacle courses and much more.
