The clinic is made up of a Chiropractor, two Registered Massage Therapists and a Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist who all have the same goal: to improve and maintain their clients' movement. Kathy, a chiropractor and the clinic owner, has been practicing in Georgetown for 16 years and founded Move six years ago. "I wanted a team approach to maintaining health," says Kathy, who also does orthotics. "It's never just the muscles or just the joints that need help. You need a whole team to get optimum improvement." The Move team includes Registered Massage Therapists Ervin King and Courtney Gorrill, and Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist Sarah Peng. Together, the group helps patients of all ages and physical capabilities who suffer from a range of complaints like athletic injuries, age-related joint pain and workplace injuries. "We are all active practitioners and we encourage our patients to do the same." Shelly Butt (iPro Realty) Technology has changed a lot since Shelly Butt, a Sales Representative at iPro Realty, started in the real estate business eight years ago. Advancements in technology have made Shelly readily available to her clients, able to answer questions quickly and efficiently through text message or BBM. "Each year, technology gets more and more advanced," says Shelly, who joined the iPro Realty team in January. "I have some clients I help through texting and BBM-ing, but there are some who don't have email or a cell phone, so I'll pick up the phone and call them or go over and see them. It all depends on the client." The Georgetown resident deals primarily with residential real estate in Halton Hills, Brampton and the surrounding areas. She helps her clients with all aspects of the buying and selling process including relocations, from putting them in contact with reputable mortgage agents and lawyers to arranging for staging and painting services. She is able to draw upon iPro Realty's extensive marketing tools, such as virtual tour creation and professional photography, to market each home to its highest potential. But in the end, it's all comes down to the people. "It's really about being involved in people's lives," she says. "Buying a home is a monumental event. Lynne Gravelle has been helping the people of Halton Hills look and feel better since 1999. Lynne, a certified electrologist and laser technician, is the owner and operator of Bare Image Electrolysis and Laser Inc. in downtown Georgetown. As the name suggests, Bare Image offers electrolysis and laser treatments to permanently remove unwanted body hair. Electrolysis, which takes between six months and a year and half to complete, involves sending a small electric current into the hair follicle to permanently destroy the root. Laser hair removal, which usually requires between four and six treatments to take effect, uses a laser to destroy or impede several hair follicles at a time. Lynne got started in the field after having permanent hair removal done herself. She had such a positive experience that she enrolled in the Electrolysis College of Canada and became a certified electrologist and laser technician. She then opened her business and has been helping the people of Halton Hills ever since. "I like making people feel good about themselves by getting rid of the stuff they hate," Lynne says. "Women and men are so busy. I give them one less thing to worry about." 318 Guelph St., Georgetown Bare Image Electrolysis & Laser Inc. 61 Main St. South, Georgetown 905-873-6116 FARHAN AND AL-KARIM georgetown@sherwoodcopy.com sherwoodcopy.com 905-873-6388 LYNNE GRAVELLE downtowngeorgetown.ca
