Born August 1, 1932, in Rijnsburg, the Netherlands, died March 21, 2012 at Bethell Hospice in Inglewood, Ontario. Who can find a wife of noble character? She is worth far more than rubies. A peewee boys' team from Georgetown's Youth Bowling Council is headed to the 4 Steps to Stardom Canadian five-pin championship tournament in St. John's, Newfoundland May 5-7 after a miraculous comeback at the 12-team provincial finals held recently at the Sherwood Centre in Hamilton. Sitting in fourth place after the fourth of five games were played, the Georgetown bowlers combined to roll a record score of 965 in the last game-- beating the previous best team score for the peewee division by 61 pins-- to finish up with a fivegame total score of 4,254. The fourth-seeded Mustangs, who upset the top-ranked and host UNB Varsity Reds 3-2 in Saturday's semifinal, came up just a goal short in Sunday's championship, dropping a 4-3 OT decision to the second-ranked Redmen.
