These ceremonies were held on May 3rd 2012 marking Victory in Europe Day (VE-Day). The Georgetown Candlelight Tributes committee is an autonomous group of concerned citizens working independently from the Town of Halton Hills. The committee has a close association with the Royal Canadian Legion (Georgetown) Branch 120. The committee raises all funds for the project directly from the public. As well, all expenditures incurred are paid from the funds raised by the committee.
