16 THE NEW TANNER THURSDAY, JANUARY 19 1012 Appointments to new Town Committees Like a coach using the strengths of his team to the best advantage, Mayor Rick Bonnette announced two appointments to new committees recently. Georgetown Councillor Bob Inglis was appointed to the Corporate Technology Strategic Plan steering committee, which directs strategies to renew the Town's information services strategic plan. Regional/Ward Two Councillor Jane Fogal and Acton Councillor Jon Hurst were appointed to the Green Building Standards Study steering committee. It will provide comments during the study process, to help with issue identification and resolution, liaise with key community stakeholders to ensure study awareness, and to meet on a regular basis to monitor study progress. "I know Council will be well represented with these appointments and on behalf of Council, I'm pleased that we're moving forward on these two very important strategic initiatives," Mayor Bonnette said. DANCE DIVAS: There were smooth moves and chaperoned fun as tweens and teens partied at the Town's dance at the Acton arena/community centre on Friday night.
