Neil Simon's The Dinner Party comes to Georgetown Little Theatre Roxanne Thornton As the doors lock on the private French dining room, the group of strangers, guests to an absent host, begin to panic. Are they at the mercy of some sinister force to be played like pawns? If "The Dinner Party", Georgetown Little Theatre's February production, wasn't written by Neil Simon, we might expect murder and mayhem to follow. It may yet, for this hilarious farcical comedy with a twist is reported to be the result of Simon's personal reflection on his four failed marriages, one of which was to the same woman twice. With each new lady's arrival, Mariette (Lisa Rasanen), Yvonne (Jessica Watson) and Gabrielle (Ro Palumbo-Coates), the men quickly change alliances giving us a staggering number of personal revelations into both marriage and divorce. The Dinner Party directed by Alex Kanarek promises to be a delightful evening of great entertainment in the true Neil Simon style of witty one liners and quick comebacks definitely served up in a farcical way that only a master of comedy could create. The Dinner Party runs for three weekends at the Acton Town Hall Centre, 19 Willow Street North, Acton. Evening performances are Feb. 3, 4, 9,10,11,16,17, 18 at 8 pm with Sunday matinees on Feb. 5 and 12 at 2 pm.
