Marg is survived by her loving husband Norm, son Brad (Jennifer) and daughter Janice Scheffer as well as granddaughter's Stacy (Rod), Lori and Jeri and great grandchildren Kayla and Anddyn. Marg will be warmheartedly remembered by her sister-in-law Reba Shultis who has been a lifelong devoted friend as well as a cherished family member. Marg was predeceased by her brothers Chuck and Harvey Shultis and her sister Evelyn Louttet. We would like to thank the staff at Stone Lodge and St. Joseph's LTC in Guelph who were instrumental in providing the additional gentle and thoughtful care that was required by Marg in the final chapter of her life. Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service on Friday, February 03, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Blue Springs Funeral Home, 12 Church Street, Acton, ON. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society. When we think of Marg, words that come to mind are loyal, constant, dedicated, reliable and steadfast. Marg loved children, animals, music, cards and garage sales. Marg was especially fond of deer and chipmunks. Rest in eternal peace Marg. We love you and you are already missed so very, very much. We have a new position, Apprentice Meter Technician, in our Metering Department. Interested candidates may apply, in confidence, to express their interest in the position, outlining their education, experience and related qualifications. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: · A graduate of a Community College program in electrical technology (Power or Control) leading to registration as a certified engineering technologist or technician; field experience with electrical background up to 750V; · Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace; · Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, analytical and trouble shooting skills; · Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills; · Concise written and verbal communication skills; · Valid Class G Ontario Driver's License; · Proven ability to work effectively and safely in a team environment; · Ability to perform essential duties of the position including the physical demands required which could be lifting in excess of 50 lbs., working in extreme weather conditions and working in an aerial device; · Proficient in the use of a computer and related software applications, (ie) Microsoft Word, Excel · Demonstrated company values, in particular, respect in the workplace. This is a union position (40 hours per week) and compensation will be negotiated in accordance with the current Collective Agreement. The successful applicant will start an apprenticeship program, and will be required to attend the MEARIE Meter Technician Training program as scheduled by Halton Hills Hydro. Entrance into Meter Technician Level 1 training requires the successful completion of the Theory Qualifying Test. Continuation in the Apprenticeship with Halton Hills Hydro will require successful completion of all levels of the apprenticeship training program. Duties of the apprentice meter technician will include maintaining the infrastructure, (electronic interval meters, related communications equipment and network management systems), as well as the following: · Installation and maintenance of single phase and polyphase meters and metering systems; · Programming of electronic meters and testing of meters to ensure their accuracy; · Setup and support of interval data collection systems (currently MV90); · Maintenance, installation, operation and troubleshooting of Metering Systems; and · Other duties as required.
