The dinner was hosted on Christmas Day at Beth-El Christian Reformed Church, which generously provided the facility in which to have our meal. There, we enjoyed Gail's turkeys as well as ham, which was donated by Superior Glove. Coleslaw, Potatoes Romanov, mincement tarts and pies were prepared by the Usual Suspects; thank you, Donna, Tammie, Dorothy, Helen and Rosemarie. We also appreciated the veggies and buns and desserts donated by caring friends. Pauline and Pat did an awesome job in the kitchen making sure everything was under control. Nancy started up a carol sing and was soon joined by Kevin, who later with his sons also provided musical accompaniment during the meal. We are grateful to all those who helped with the set up, serving, the clean up afterwards and to those who delivered meals to people who could not attend. Thanks also to Real, Jill and Joyce for providing parting gifts for our guests. We also wish acknowledge the The New Tanner and the local churches for spreading word of our dinner. Again, it is difficult to name some and not others, always risking missing someone, but the Community Christmas Dinner Committee does appreciate all the kindnesses shown. Together you made a special day even better by reaching out and doing something for someone who might otherwise have spent Christmas Day on their own. Loving your neighbour! Bless you all.
