Fogal thanked O'Connor for supplying free gloves and litter bags to people taking part in the April 20th 22-Minute Makeover, and the April 21 Community Cleanup. She said McDonald's can't be held responsible for what their customers do, but they make sure their locations are "neat as a pin." "For me, this a model of citizenship and good business practices..." Fogal said as she presented O'Connor with a certificate acknowledging McDonald's continued support for the community cleanup. Time to `pitch-in' With the warn weather giving up the littering sins of the winter, it is time for the Town to get serious about a spring cleanup. The chair of the Town's Litter task Force, Regional/Ward Two Councillor Fogal urged local schools, businesses and citizens to "pitch in" with a quick cleanup on Friday, April 20, for the Town's annual 22-Minute Makeover, and to also tackle litter along rural roads, in parks and along trails on Saturday, April 21 for a Community Cleanup Day. Fogal said people and groups could register with the Town and arrange for free bags and gloves, which are available at the Town Works Yard on Trafalgar Road. "Once again, 5,000 bags have been generously donated by Superior Glove," Fogal said. Mayor Rick Bonnette thanked Councillor Fogal for getting everybody organized for the major cleanup, noting the early spring makes the litter even more of an eyesore.
