Michael William Payne dear husband of Patricia Miller of Acton. Loving father of Jessica and her friend Steven Twine and Jeremy and his friend Shannon Johnston. Dear son of June and the late William Payne and brother of Debby and Leonard Miller and Lynn and Neil Steele. Mike will be remembered for his involvement in bowling, baseball and his 20 years with the Cobblehill Co-op. As were Mike's wishes he has been cremated. The Family invited relatives and friends to a time of visiting at the Blue Springs Funeral Home, Acton, Wednesday April 18, 2012 from 1 to 2 pm. A celebration of life followed in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm. Remembrances may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada. WILLIAMS: Douglas Walter Passed away at home after a valiant battle with cancer on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the age of 47. He is survived by Robin, his loving wife of 27 years and his children Amanda and Matthew (Jess) and the three lights of his life, his grandchildren Makayla Potter, Riley Potter and Ava Williams. Doug also leaves behind his father Douglas, mother Gloria (predeceased), his sisters Debbie (Al) Blake, Karen (David) Millington, Kathy (Jack) Rutherford and his brother Brad Williams. Son-in-law of Leonard and Barbara House and brotherin-law of Kim (David) Martin and Stephen (Kelly) House. He will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He also leaves behind his baseball family, Brookville Masters Slo Pitch League, which was his passion. Doug worked at Ford Motor Company in Oakville for 24 years and was a proud member of CAW Local 707. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at Trinity United Church, 70 Mill Street East, Acton, on Saturday, April 28th from twelve o'clock until the Memorial Service which will be conducted by the Rev. Sean Howard at one o'clock. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses who cared for Doug during his illness and an extra special thank you to Josie Corcoran from St. Elizabeth Nursing Agency. She was Doug's angel here on earth and her care and compassion will never be forgotten. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
