THURSDAY, MAY 17, 2012 THE NEW TANNER 17 The Centre will be closed for Victoria Day on Monday, May 21. There was a record attendance at the Birthday Tea on May 8. There were 32 members, plus their guests, enjoying cake and ice cream and catching up on all the news with other members. If you are at the Centre on Monday, May 28 you might notice an unfamiliar face with Wendy. Her name is Avanthi Goddard and she is conducting a mock survey preparing us for our Accreditation. The Bazaar was a great success, Sylvia Mitchell and her fund raising committee would like to thank everyone who h e l p e d i n a n y w a y, whether by donating, baking, serving, set ting up and of course the many people who attended. Sylvia tells me we cleared approximately $3,000, which will help with financial commitments at the Centre. The 50/50 was won by Pat White and the beautiful basket by Shelagh Bailey. The Bingo evening was such a success we raised over $600. By popular request the Centre will be hosting another Bingo evening on Saturday, June 23. We hope to see the Bingo enthusiasts back again, it was a fun evening. For those who enjoy fish, mark you calendars for Saturday, July 28 for a "Fish Fry". Mr. Howell from Wiarton will be here cooking freshly ca ught wh i te fish. They have provided the dinners at many local functions and are famous for their deli- cious fish. Watch for more details later.
