At Nashville North 5 ·The IFP· Halton Hills, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 Five charged in bar brawl Five Peel residents are facing multiple assault charges following a brawl at Nashville North in Norval early Friday. Halton Police report at approximately 2:50 a.m. officers were flagged down by a witness at the Nashville North nightclub located at 530 Guelph Street. Police determined that a minor altercation, which had initiated inside the club, eventually spilled out onto the street. Three men continued the altercation and became involved with five men in a silver Honda Civic. The men inside the Civic were seen brandishing weapons which had been retrieved from the trunk of the vehicle. When officers arrived they found the three men suffering injuries consisting of puncture wounds and lacerations. All three were transported to hospital for observation. All five men inside the Honda Civic were arrested at the scene without incident. All were charged and released on promises to appear and undertakings. The three victims are expected to recover from their injuries. Jointly charged with aggravated assault and two counts of assault with a weapon are: Ariston Dixon, 25, of Mississauga, Vaughn Young, 22, Kyle Mills-Brooks, 23, Earl Arthur, 23, and Walter Platzer, 23, all of Brampton. Halton Police report a man, while ordering a drink at the bar at Nashville North (530 Guelph Street), swiped a stack of cash from the register while the bartender's back was turned. The man then ordered another drink and, once again when the bartender's back was turned, reached over the bar and grabbed another stack of cash. The man then tipped the bartender and left the bar area. The bar employee immediately noticed the missing money and alerted management and security staff. The suspect was located in the bar and as he was being escorted to the security office he jumped off the second level of the nightclub and attempted to flee the scene. Security staff gave chase and the man was apprehended in a swamp near the nightclub. Police were called and took custody of the man. A search of the man revealed several thousands of dollars in cash and a small amount of marijuana. The entire incident was captured on video surveillance. The 23-year-old Mississauga man was transported to hospital and treated for minor injuries he suffered when he jumped from the second floor of the nightclub. Charged with theft under $5,000, possession of a controlled substance and two counts of breach of probation is Chevonie Morgan, 23, of Mississauga.
