Born in Brantford, Ontario, he was the son of the late Doris and Orland Treffry. Dave joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in September of 1961 and after 5 years in the RCAF joined Air Canada where he enjoyed a long career, retiring after 35 years of service, as an Airbus 340 Captain. Dave will be greatly missed by his wife Barbara; sons Michael (Robin) and Derek (Janal Bechthold); grandsons Carter and Ian; brother Ross (Donna); as well as his extended family and friends. Besides his parents, Dave was predeceased by his sister Helen and brother Brian.
