Born in Brantford, Ontario, he was the son of the late Doris and Orland Treffry. Dave joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in September of 1961 and after 5 years in the RCAF joined Air Canada where he enjoyed a long career, retiring after 35 years of service, as an Airbus 340 Captain. Dave will be greatly missed by his wife Barbara; sons Michael (Robin) and Derek (Janal Bechthold); grandsons Carter and Ian; brother Ross (Donna); as well as his extended family and friends. Besides his parents, Dave was predeceased by his sister Helen and brother Brian. The family invites friends, relatives and loved ones to gather and share memories at a celebration of Dave's life at the J.S.
