At approximately 11:15 p.m. on Aug. 31 at the spot check located on Young St. at Peel St., a vehicle was pulled over and officers felt they had grounds to believe that the two occupants were in possession of marijuana. A subsequent search turned up two bags of cannabis, weighing 14 and 15 grams. Charged with possession of a controlled substance are Cameron Gies and Zachary Loewen, both 20, of Acton. Then, at about 11:30 p.m. at the same spot check, another young male was suspected by officers to be in possession of illegal substances. A search found several clear bags of cannabis, cannabis resin and a large quantity of cash. Charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the purpose of trafficking, as well as impaired driving by drug, is 18-yearold Rudolph Deuchler-Rosenmeier of Halton Hills. ··· Close to $10,000 worth of vehicle parts were allegedly stolen from a fenced-in lot at the Yoyo Japanese Restaurant on Guelph St. last Wednesday (Aug. 29). Police believe entry to the lot was gained by cutting through a fence. Among the items missing were four tires belonging to a 2013 Ford Edge Sport and another from a 2013 Ford Explorer. Witnesses reported to police that a white cube van with a yellow stain on one side was seen parked at the location at around 1:45 p.m. Two non-white males in their 20s were seen acting suspiciously and sped off when one of the witnesses approached. One of the suspects was described as wearing a green baseball cap turned on its side. ··· A Bolton motorcyclist was charged with carrying a concealed weapon after being pulled over in a routine traffic stop last Saturday at Five Sideroad and 10th Line in Halton Hills. When approached by an officer, police say the man became agitated. The officer then observed what he believed was a switchblade or weapon of some sort concealed under his shirt.
