Also on Saturday there will be entertainment on the patio with Bad Weather, 5-8 p.m. All are welcome. Sunday, Sept.16 will be the final horseshoe game of the season at the branch. You are all welcome to come and cheer your favorite player on. Last Sunday we had the visit from Sunnybook veterans. They got a new bus and our branch was the very first to see it with all the vets. They were so happy saying it rides like a charm. Dave and Joan Maloney put gift bags together on behalf of the branch to give to each veteran and flowers to the ladies and Ladies Auxiliary President Peggy Harris and Past President Annamarie Lowin, on behalf of the Auxiliary, gave each a monetary gift. The veterans enjoyed a beautiful roast beef dinner and were so appreciative for everything that was done for them during their visit. They tell us this is the best Legion to come and visit. Everyone who helped had a warm feeling in their heart seeing the smiling faces on the veterans who have fought for our country and given us the freedom we have. Last Sunday was a special day for zone B7 as a convention was going on in the main hall and they were able to come out to greet the Sunnybrook vets and say goodbye. It was the best goodbye you could ever see with all the people lined up at the the driveway.
