The 18-year-old Christ the King Secondary School graduate had an excellent summer campaign with the Premier Baseball League of Ontario's Oakville Royals, hitting .310 with four homers and 31 RBI, while also posting a .373 average with 10 RBI playing for the Georgetown Jr. B Eagles' team that captured a second-straight provincial title. As a relief pitcher, his fastball has been clocked at 87 mph. Murray State College plays in the National Junior College Athletic Association and after two years there, Lahn hopes to catch on with an NCAA Division I program. Another CtK graduate, Adam Anderson, is at Division I University of North Carolina at Greensboro on a baseball scholarship and is majoring in business in his freshman year. With the Ontario Blue Jays' under-18 squad this summer, the 17-year-old Anderson posted an 11-3 record with a sparkling 1.67 ERA and 75 strikeouts over 75 innings. Anderson represented Canada's Junior National Team in five international tournaments over the past couple of years. Following a game in Port Credit Monday evening against the Mississauga Chargers, the Raiders will play host to the 0-2-0 Hamilton Red Wings Wednesday at the Alcott Arena beginning at 8 p.m. Georgetown got into penalty trouble early on against a strong Patriots' squad Friday and trailed 3-0 before the contest was 14 minutes old. Raiders' head coach Greg Walters was ejected from the game for his displeasure with the officiating. But the visitors kept plugging and the Raiders' sparkplug forward, Drake Hart, scored twice to cut into the Patriots' lead and the 19-year-old from Cayuga now has four goals on the year to account for half of his team's offence. Veteran Nick Perruccio tallied midway through the third for Georgetown but they couldn't get any closer. Walters added some experience and scoring punch to the roster with the signing of Georgetown resident Robbie Murden, who made his debut Friday after a brief stint with the BCHL's Powell River Kings. The 20-year-old centre had 25 goals and 35 assists for Toronto Lakeshore last season. Murden replaces centre Ryan Kinsella, who was dealt to North York in a cash deal after just two games with the Raiders. Georgetown assistant coach Dan Currie has left the club to take over the bench duties of the Milton IceHawks after their head coach, Mike Rusk, resigned for personal reasons after the first game of the campaign. Also this week, the Raiders visit the Toronto Jr. Canadiens on Sunday night and don't have a Saturday home date until Sept. 29 against Oakville.
