Ted Tyler photo The Regional Municipality of Halton Access Halton at: www.halton.ca Dial 311 NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING DEVELOPMENT CHARGE BY-LAW Halton GO Transit Service Development Charges 2001 A Background Study has been prepared to amend GO Transit Development Charges By-law 159-01 in order to align with the recently approved Regional Development Charges By-law No. 48-12 (2012 DC By-law). At its April 18, 2012 meeting, Regional Council adopted the 2012 DC By-law which established water, wastewater, roads and general services development charges for both residential and non-residential development in the Region. New residential development is also subject to the payment of a GO Transit development charge (GO Transit DC) under the current By-law No. 159-01. The GO Transit DC does not apply to non-residential development. The Halton "Development Charges Background Study for Proposed Amendment to Regional GO Transit Service Development Charge By-law" will be available to the public on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, and can be obtained at the office of the Regional Clerk at 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville, Ontario, L6M 3L1. The Study can also be accessed online at www.halton.ca. The Regional Municipality of Halton Access Halton at: www.halton.ca Dial 311 PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE Trafalgar Road (Regional Road #3) Intersection Improvements at 5 Side Road and 10 Side Road, Town of Halton Hills PR-2145C Halton Region, following the completion of the Trafalgar Road Short-Term Intersection and Operations Review Study, has completed the preliminary design for the intersection improvements on Trafalgar Road at 5 Side Road and 10 Side Road. A Public Information Centre will be held to provide residents with an opportunity to review preliminary design details and to discuss any potential concerns that may result from the proposed works. Representatives from Halton Region will be in attendance to answer any questions. The Public Information Centre is scheduled for: Public Meeting The Development Charges Act, 1997 requires that at least one public meeting be held prior to the passing of an amendment to a development charge by-law. The purpose of this public meeting is to present the "Development Charges Background Study for Proposed Amendment to Regional GO Transit Service Development Charges By-law" and the proposed amending by-law.
