Wasn't that a festival! Josey Bonnette Acton BIA Manager Well, another Festival has come and gone and from all reports it was a huge success! The Leathertown Festival committee would like to thank all the volunteers who helped during the day; we couldn't have done it without you! There's a lot of work involved putting on an event of this magnitude, even the weatherman cooperated. Special thanks to the Town of Halton Hills Public Works staff who worked so hard to help make our festival a success. They were on site at 6:30 a.m. setting up road closures, picnic tables and bleachers. Then they were back at the end of the day taking everything down. I would personally like to thank the festival commit- tee for your hard work and dedication; Kim Duncanson, Nicholl Spence, Jon Hurst, Jenn MacDonald and Keith Reed. We also had a great crew of volunteers that helped the day of the festival; Alec Boyd, Nancy Wilkes, Sue Walker, Angela Stuckless and Rick Bonnette to name a few. Thanks go to Off The Wall Youth Centre, Roxy Youth Group and Bethal Youth Group for volunteering to help set up and take down. A special thank you to all of our sponsors (28 in total) and the downtown merchants who donated prizes for the various events during the day. Our sponsors make it possible to hire quality entertainment throughout the day for your enjoyment. We trust everyone who attended had a great time and we estimate there were approximately 7,000 people in attendance throughout the day. Preparations are already underway for the 22nd annual Leathertown Festival. We hope to see you there! If you are interested in being on the committee give us a call at 519-853-9555.
