Help plan the future Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette wants citizens to save November 22 on the calendar to help celebrate release of the Community Sust a i n a b i l i t y S t r a t e g y. Titled "Imagine Halton Hills" the blueprint is designed to help shape the future of Halton Hills to 2060, focusing on cultural vibrancy, economic prosperity, environmental health, and social well-being. The Town wants initial feedback on the strategy and the vision: "In 2060, the urban and rural communities of Halton Hills balance e c o n o m i c p ro s p e r i t y with a deep commitment to the natural environment, while retaining viable local agriculture and small-town feel, and being socially equitable, culturally vibrant and strongly connected." At the event, the Town also wants to prioritize the Strategy's nearly 160 goals, begin to identify potential community partners, network and talk about sustainability. It said citizen participation is crucial to making sure that right choices are made. The meeting is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on November 22 at the Mold-Masters SportsP l e x i n G e o rg e t o w n .
