As part of the Halton District School Board's commitment to public input and transparency, it has posted several draft versions of Board's policies (and where appropriate, administrative procedures), on its website for public comment. Policies currently under review will be available on the Board's website, www. hdsb.ca until late October. At that time, public comment will be considered before the policies come back to the Board for decision. These policies are found by clicking the `Board and Trustees' tab on the homepage and then the `Policies and Procedures Under Review' link located on the left-hand side of the webpage. Documents will be posted for a period of no less than 60 calendar days, including no fewer than 30 school days. The following policies have a deadline of Monday, October 22 for feedback: · Flag Protocol Policy · Naming New Schools Policy · Program and Accommodation Review Policy · Prohibition Regarding Alcoholic Beverages Policy In addition to the opportunity to provide online comments, the Board also continues its practice of allowing delegations at its Board meetings, with presenters speaking to agenda matters.
