If you would like to participate in by sponsoring a family and helping make someone's Christmas a lot brighter than what it would otherwise be, please contact Erika Westcott or Darci Burgess for more details. There are many ways to help with this program, from sponsoring gifts or Christmas meals for a family or a combination of both. So many families struggle at Christmas and this program is one way EWCS continues to support our community members in need. New Look and New Treasures at Erin New to You Store and Bookends Our volunteers have been busy the last little while, cleaning and reorganizing, adding and moving things in our stores to better serve you. The Erin New to You store is featuring new treasures for sale and beautiful new fall fashions, including Danier leather coats and more. Bookends has all kinds of great books...ready to be read by you, and features a great selection of children's books for only 50 cents. Be sure to drop in and bag a great bargain. Stores are open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed Sundays and holidays. We are always looking for volunteers ­ contact Erika Westcott for more information on how you can volunteer with us. Senior Program Updates EWCS Seniors adult day programs currently have spaces available in both the Erin and Rockwood sites. Lest We Forget Guelph / Eramosa Township Council and staff extend an invitation to attend a Remembrance Day Service and reception on Saturday, November 10, beginning at 11 a.m. Participants will assemble at 10:30 a.m. on Guelph Street near the Post Office. The parade will proceed to the Cenotaph, which is located at the corner of Main Street South (Highway 7) and Guelph Street in Rockwood. Following the service, the parade will march north on Main Street to the St. Johns Anglican Church Hall where the Rockwood Fire Department invites all to join them for refreshments at the Church Hall, located on Main Street. Please note, the Ministry of Transportation and County of Wellington have authorized the Township of Guelph/ Eramosa to temporarily close a portion of Highway 7, between Fourth Line (Wellington County Road 44) to Milton Eramosa Townline in the Township of Guelph/ Eramosa during the service. In addition, there will be temporary road closures on local streets surrounding the Cenotaph during the service. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
