4 Town honours those who bring glory An Olympic rowing team alternate and World Cup medallist, an Olympic road cycling team manager and coach, a Teen Voice-Over Award, and members of provincial fastpitch and volleyball teams. They, and national bowling and baton twirling winners were among the 43 Halton Hills residents honoured at the Town's Municipal Awards Evening on Monday. For more than three decades, the Town has recognized citizens whose accomplishments brought honour to Halton Hills by putting them in the spotlight and presenting them with tokens of thanks. The Municipal Awards recognize accomplishments in education, arts, culture, sport, recreational pursuits and other special achievements. In a council chamber filled with proud family and friends, the recipients received a certificate and medallion from Mayor Rick Bonnette who thanked them, and their parents and coaches, for their on-going dedication and support.
