SERVICE WINNER: The First Acton Scouts and their tractor-driven hay wagon earned the best service group category. BEST SPORTS: The Acton Aqua Ducks, which also won the category two years ago, was judged the best sports entry. BEST OTHER: The Whoville Hydro float entered by Halton Hills Community Energy Corporation was chosen as the top "Other" entry in the parade. BEST COMMERCIAL: Acton's Pet Valu earned the best commercial prize. The Santa Grinch Doug Pattenden with Nooka, his daughter Krystal and Linda Styles with Gizmo enjoyed the crowds that lined the parade route. CHURCH WINNER: For the sixth year in a row, the float entered by Bethel Christian Reformed Church ­ Dr. Seuss figures on exercise equipment ­ won the best church entry.
