Dana Selby gave the Active Choice a 1-0 lead in the second period from Josey Bonette and Janet Garton. The lead was short-lived as Mary Joosten replied one minute later on a power play goal, and Christy Gedge earned the assist. On Friday, December 7, Tanners Pub & Grill visit Acton Optical at 10 p.m., and Active Choice faces Smooth & Trendzy at 11 p.m. The Acton Select Peewee's travelled to Kitchener on Sunday evening for their first game against the Kitchener Ranger's, and came home with a 2-1 win. The game was scoreless through the first period, and Kitchener scored 16 seconds into the second period. Acton's Lucas Scully tied things up with two minutes remaining in the period with the lone assist going to Ethan Totty. Tied at one a piece going into the third, Acton was solid from front to back. With just under six minutes remaining in the third, Jake Case stole the puck at his own blue line and made a sweet pass to spring Jack Timmerman on a breakaway to score PEEWEE SELECT SUCCESS: Deep in the Acton Peewee Select Chargers' end in the third period, with a one-point lead, Acton's Jack Timmerman took the face-off against Cambridge as goalie Ethan Krusky, Caleb VanDerWal and Lucas Scully anticipated the play. They host Centre Wellington, at home, Sunday, December 9 at 8:30 p.m. Peewee BB Tanners win 4-1 at home In their latest game, the HUB International-Tri Form Concrete Peewee BB Acton Tanners hosted the Stoney Creek Jr. Warriors at home. An exciting first period ended 1-0 for the Jr. Warriors as Stoney Creek scored the only goal when the puck took a strange bounce and found the back of the Tanner net. In the second period, Ben Gray took a slap shot from the point which Daniel Nascimento deflected into the top corner to tie things up at one. Later in the period, Nascimento passed the puck to Josh Hamilton, who teed it up from the blue line and Jack Kennedy scored on the rebound. Closing out the second period was Devin Muise, who banged home the puck off a scramble in front of the net with assists going to Jakob Cunningham and Jake Molinaro. Heading into the third period with a 3-1 lead was not common for the Tanners. Jack Coulighan had to be sharp in net as he was challenged many times in the final frame. With the Stoney Creek net empty late in the third, Nic Jones and Declan Harrison worked hard to get the puck out of their zone up to Jack Kennedy, who buried the puck into the empty net to seal the 4-1 victory.
