COOKIES, CRAFTS AND CAROLS: A large happy crowd of Acton area kids and their parents celebrated the holiday season with a Christmas story time at the Acton library last Thursday. Cameron Justice (standing) donned some antlers and joined in the fun. Marie Shadbolt photo Keep safe. Remember if you drink please do not drive. Have a designated driver or take a cab. Better to be safe than sorry. Please remember our veterans, seniors and shutins if you have an extra place at your table, why not ask them for dinner. No one should be alone at Christmas. Our MPP Reports by Ted Arnott MPP Wellington - Halton Hills It's Christmas time; a time for faith, family and friends. Many of us celebrate the birth of Christ, and we gather together at home to celebrate the season of giving. Numerous churches and community organizations are actively reaching out to make sure that everyone, especially those in need, shares in the joy of Christmas. These efforts are worthy of our generous support, and all involved deserve our thanks. Christmas is indeed "the most wonderful time of the year." ***** On December 7, I had the great pleasure of participating in "Ted Flanagan's Old Fashioned Christmas Special," organized as part of the Georgetown BIA's "Holiday Magic on Main" Christmas celebration. Most likely, the current boundary for the provincial riding of Wellington-Halton Hills will remain intact for the next provincial election, and possibly for several years after that. It has been a privilege for me to serve all the people of Wellington-Halton Hills for the past five years. Thank you for your support. ***** In January, my wife Lisa and I are hosting three events. On Sunday, January 13 from 2-4 p.m., we have our New Year Celebration at the Victoria Park Seniors Centre in Fergus. The following Sunday, on January 20 from 2-3:30 p.m., we have our Acton Family Skate at the Acton Arena. Then, on Sunday, January 27, from 1:30-3 p.m., we have our Georgetown Family Skate at the MoldMasters Sportsplex. Everyone's welcome, and we look forward to seeing all who wish to join us. ***** From our family to yours, Merry Christmas, and all the best in 2013. ***** Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Ted Arnott welcomes your comments.
