Because the smoke was blowing towards neighbouring house, the fire was extinguished and the homeowner advised to get a new permit before doing any more burning. No injury accident Acton firefighters arrived at the scene of a car in the ditch at the Sixth Line/25 Side Road intersection at 5:33 p.m. on Monday to find the driver out of the vehicle and dealing with police. No other details were released. Unlocked car theft Approximately $150 in US cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at a Cobblehill Road residence overnight December 15. Coyote warning A Dublin line resident is cautioning people to be careful when out a night, and to leash any pets after being charged by a coyote on Tuesday night. The homeowner was working on his car at his residence in the Dublin line/ 22 Side Road area around 8 p.m., when he was startled by a coyote that ran up the driveway at him. The man, who believes the coyote may have been chasing something, started yelling and it veered off and ran into the field by the house.
