The team kept positive, despite a 4-0 loss to the Kingston Canadiens in the first game. Josh Dunbar, the games MVP, kept the score close against a strong Kingston team. In the second game vs. Markham, Krusky earned his first shutout of this Select season, making some tough saves when called upon in a 6-0 win. Jake Case started the scoring seven seconds in from the opening face off, followed quickly by goals from Andrew Grant and Lucas Scully. Assists went to Brady Borges (2), Ethan Constable and Jack Timmerman. B o rg e s s c o r e d o n e goal in the second period, assisted by Makayla Dee and Devonte TevesBenjamin. Case added his second goal with a nice passing play from Dee and Constable. Constable, with another nice passing play from Case and Ethan Totty, scored the final goal of the game. The third game, vs. Clarkson Hurricanes, ended in a 7-3 loss for Acton. They had a slow start, and were down 4-0 after one period. The Chargers kept positive and out chanced and outplayed Clarkson for the remainder of the game. Clarkson scored one in the second and Acton scored three goals in the third from Constable, unassisted; Grant on a nice feed from behind the net from Case and TevesBenjamin; and Case from a face-off in the Hurricanes zone. Trying for third place in the Division, Acton lost 4-2 against Ajax Knights. Despite outplaying them, with constant pressure throughout, the second period ended 2-1. Timmerman scored on a rebound from Case after an amazing passing play. Another assist went to AP player Carter McPherson, who had no trouble fitting in with the team in his first Select game. In third period, trailing 3-1, with the goalie pulled, Borges scored with assist from Constable and Michael Gillis. Ajax added an empty netter.
